Another slamming twist out!

Remember the last blog post about the 3 week old twists? Check it out here. So after rocking the revitalized twists for a week I took out the twists and here is what the twist out looked like.

Can someone scream D-E-F-I-N-I-T-I-O-N!!!!! I totally loved the look and decided to rock the twist out for another week. You guessed right I took it to work. And not a peep of complaint from anyone at work. They are learning *wink*

So this is how it "happened":
1) I washed and conditioned my hair as usual and used thread to stretch my hair
2) I did micro twists with my usual shea butter mix
3) After the 3rd week  I used gel to roll my hair with rollers (see post)
5) I took out the twists after the 3rd week and got this twist out.

We would love to hear your own stories of "Slamming styles" and pictures would be a bonus. Have a fab weekend!

Keep it natural (and slamming)!

Okay so from your very first post to now I've read every single entry. You're just amazing you know!! And here's me assuming that nigerias natural hair scene was non exsistent. I'm soooo glad I found this site. Its great that theres others now.

I actually wanted to post in the NYSC(?) post but my phone was acting up. Im studying at uni in the UK - born and bred here to be precise - and I actually would love to do the youth service. Ive been to Nigeria many times but I feel like I'm still yet to explore all the other things it has to offer hence me asking about it.
Anyways, its a great thing you're doing here!! peace xx

Hi Elizabeth. Thank you for sharing and commenting. There is a lot happening in the natural hair scene in Nigeria and we look forward to it blowing up big time.

There is definitely a lot to explore in Nigeria! Hope you decide to do your NYSC. If you do, let us know when you are around

Looks very nice. :)
I wore my natural hair to work for the first time yesterday and I had varying comments. One random errand boy said he didnt like my hair and I finished him (Lord 4give me). It was a fairly interesting day but I have to say I feel very free, like I've been bound by weaves and extensions for a long time and now I'm free *sigh*. I just thought I'd share that.

@Damilola: Thanks for sharing. As you keep wearing your natural hair people will get used to it and you will get fewer negative comments (I hope;D)
