The book we are reading now is Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda N. Adichie. I know some of you have read it and your hearts probably jumped for joy! I hear that Ms. Adichie has natural hair too - we would love to interview her for the blog. So if any of our readers can connect us to her, please please do! We never refuse a hook-up.
There are quite a few reading / book clubs in Lagos Nigeria (and Nigeria as a whole). The number is growing because there is a push towards getting more Nigerians to read. I have heard a lot about The African Book Group (ABG) and how much fun their sessions are. I have not attended any of their sessions (yet) but who knows I may have a Rep from the ABG at one of my reading club sessions at the high school. The Idiom Mosaic writes that the ABG was listed on things to do in Lagos. Cool! Here is the blog post about the ABG from Idiom Mosaic's blog.
